Allergies – an immune response by the body to a foreign substance, especially pollen, fur, a particular food, or dust, to which a person has become hypersensitive. The hypersensitivity can be manifested in many symptoms such as fatigue, nausea, oral tingling, scratchy throat, breathing issues, runny nose, nasal congestion, watery eyes, headaches, cough, wheezing, sinus pressure, itching and rashes. These are just some symptoms in how allergies can be manifested.

Individuals may experience allergies seasonally, all year round or may not even notice anything. Many individuals may show some or all of these symptoms. If you are concerned or suffer from these symptoms we have many options for you at the practice so you don’t have to suffer any longer. We will examine you and your child and make sure that we understand at what time of the day, week, month and year that your Childs symptoms are worse. If symptoms are mild and you wish not go through allergy testing medications such as antihistamines and nasal corticosteroids can be prescribed to help the patient. If it continues to not improve and the child is continuing to have problems at school or suffering with the symptoms then allergy testing is available at our practice to determine the allergens or offending agents. These can then be avoided as well as if they are severe therapies such as allergy shots are available to treat the patient suffering from allergies.
